A little dinosaur has a volcano for a dad and a glacier for a mum. She loves them both dearly, even though they could not be more different.

When her parents are happy, her world is full of warmth and wonder. But when they argue, everything seems to catch fire.

One day, their world splits in two, leaving the little dinosaur caught between them. Yet she refuses to spend her life trapped in the cracks.

As she grows, plants trees and makes new friends, she slowly discovers that her world can become bigger than the one she has lost.

A story about family, love and growing up, and finding the courage to create a world of our own, even when the one we know falls apart.

Created in 2023 as Elyon's graduation project for the MA Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, Anglia Ruskin University.
