Original Picture Book | Written and Illustrated by Elyon Liu

A little bear moves from home to home, searching for a sense of belonging in a world that never seems to stay still.

Inspired by my own experiences of moving, this story explores the uncertainty of leaving, the courage of beginning again, and the quiet beauty of making somewhere new feel like home.

Created during my British Council Venice Fellowship at the 2024 Venice Biennale, the book reflects on the exhibition's theme, Foreigners Everywhere, and the feeling of being a stranger in an ever-changing world.

A gentle reminder that home is not simply a place, but the life we create within it. A house may be rented, but life itself is not. Wherever we find ourselves, every day is ours to cherish.
